Aeration & Overseeding

Lush, green, beautiful lawns aren’t the byproduct of chance or luck or the benevolent whims of Mother Nature.

If you want those bragging rights on your block then a prudent and proactive game plan is a must.  In other words, what you do (and don’t do) to your lawn today will have a profound effect on how it will look tomorrow.

And one of the most effective ways to ensure your lawn is the envy of the neighborhood come spring is to aerate and overseed it in the fall.  Your lawn needs the perfect composition of oxygen, water and nutrients to properly thrive and look its best.

Aeration

is a specialized lawn care process that perforates the soil with small holes, allowing these essentials elements to penetrate down to the root zone.

Overseeding

is a process in which grass seed is added to your existing lawn without turning the soil.  It’s a great option for homeowners whose lawns have suffered from drought stress, insect damage or show signs of decline like thin and sparse grass, bare patches or discoloration.

Since Maryland is primarily in the “cool-season grass zone” its lawns benefit the most when these two processes are implemented (concurrently) in the fall.   So, now is the perfect time to give the local lawn care experts at GSLC a call for an aeration/overseeding estimate.
